Why Join

What You've Been Missing
Every Morning

Loneliness is one of the greatest challenges facing seniors today. AASCG exists to solve that — one cup at a time.

Real Connection. No Agenda.

No sales pitch. No politics. No pretense. Just people who genuinely care about each other — showing up every morning because they want to, not because they have to.

🤝

You Belong Here.

From the very first morning, you're not a newcomer — you're a member. AASCG groups are built on decades of trust, warmth, and the unspoken promise that someone will always be glad you came.

💬

Conversation That Actually Matters.

The news. Your grandkids. The neighborhood. Life. AASCG mornings are filled with the kind of unfiltered, honest conversation you can't find anywhere else.

🌎

A Community That Grows With You.

Whether you're in Glencoe or across the country, AASCG connects you to a national network of people who share your values — and your love of a good morning cup.

Our Founding

A Simple Idea Over a Morning Cup

It started back in the 1980s — with a few acquaintances, morning coffee, and a conversation that has refused to end. Years later, in 2026, the Glencoe coffee group became the first chapter of the American Association of Senior Coffee Groups. Proof that the simplest ideas — show up, sit down, talk with your neighbors — are often the most powerful.

Our Charter Members

These are the founding members who showed up first, poured the first cups, and made the AASCG real. We honor them as the heart of Chapter No. 1.

It's Simple

What To Do Right Now

Getting involved takes less than five minutes. Here's how.

Step 1

Find a Chapter

Locate a Senior Coffee Group near you — or start one in your own neighborhood.

Step 2

Attend a Meeting

Pull up a chair, pour a cup, and join the conversation. No agenda, no pressure.

Step 3

Become a Member

Make it official. Become a charter or founding member of your local chapter.

Don't Wait Another Morning

Your chair is already waiting
at the table.

Somewhere near you, there's a group of people who would love to see you walk through that door tomorrow morning. All you have to do is show up.

No dues. No agenda. Just coffee, conversation, and people who genuinely care.
